The maritime museum in Astoria is kinda cool. The view from the Astoria column is nice too. I always liked taking hwy 30 along the Columbia to Astoria then driving down 101 to Tillamook and coming back on hwy 6. Going the he other way around is probably better if you want to hit the cheese factory. Hwy 6 between Portland and Tillamook is the prettiest drive to the coast I think. Great photo op between Tillamook and Cannon Beach: Are you bringing someone who hasn't been before?
yeah, my boss son is coming up with me. he's been to oregon he's just visiting his grandparents there but will probably hang out with me and my bro out there.

wow....that's still there? I used to work at the Elmer's across the street. Edit: And no, Zags, I don't want to write "Dreams of a Busboy" about name-dropping my workplaces

An interesting proposal but it's still a ways out. A concept from BikePortland.Org: In other news -- Intel recently built $3billion facility (Hillsboro) have released Phase-ll of the property that will include another manufacturing facility and an office building that will bring thousands of "permanent jobs" to the area. Oh, and this phase will cost Intel more $3+ billion.
When/IF this happens I think the "Omsi District" has so much potential. Especially if the city lands an MLB team, that's where the stadium should go.
