Between now and his departure, Stern is determined to get a franchise back into Seattle, league sources said, and has become a strong ally of Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer’s group to bring back the NBA there.
As one source involved in the process said, "Stern has enough time to get a team back to Seattle, but he'll let Silver deal with the crowd [booing] on opening night."

Hopefully the Kings will move up there, or maybe the Hornets or Bobcats. Charlotte doesn't deserve a team after the way they've treated the TWO franchises that have gone there.

By allowing them to be owned by Shinn, Johnson, then Jordan?

I don't buy for a second Stern gives a flying fuck about Seattle.

"Do you miss having an NBA team in Seattle?"

    Hell yeah!

    But then the question becomes...

"Do you want to see the NBA leave Sacramento?"

    "Hell no!"

Sacramento is such a great basketball town, with the emphasis on 'town.'

I use the word 'town,' because Sacramento and Oklahoma City might be considered large cities, but they're not the giant metropolitan areas that the NBA tends to gravitate towards. Despite that fact, they've been some of the most notoriously hard cities for road teams to play in, due to their fan support. Neither of the cities have competing collegiate or professional franchise interests, yet they still have enough love and community support in their cities to support pro franchises. Those are the cities that I'm proud to have in the league, as a Grizzlies fan.

Take the Clippers from LA before you take the Kings from Sactown.

A city of front runners. After the team got bad, their attendance dropped like a rock.

Please....let Allen take either this team or transfer ownership to take the reigns of a SEA team....

Any way to be rid of him....

Stern should force Harden to be traded to an expansion team in Seattle just to make amends.

yeah, Sactown doesn't really deserve to have their team ripped away from them.

Really, nobody does. If anything, they should just start a new team. Or, ideally, move the Thunder back to Seattle.

I hate to bring up the conspiracy thing but for the NBA, I think having two NBA teams in Oregon and two NBA teams in LA is better than having one NBA team in Oregon in three NBA teams in LA.

    Ok I guess?

Owners want government handouts, that's what prevents them from going to the best market.
