Is it me, or is that the same James Johnson starting for them who used to be a 1st round draft pick of the bulls? Sacto is really a small ball team if he's their PF.
I know it's first game, but their starters are pretty much beating our starters through the end of Q1. Taj just came in for Boozer with 2:30 to go, Bulls go down 22-18 right away.
Interesting lineup for the Bulls: Robinson, Deng, Boozer, Butler, Gibson Who's the SG, and who's the C?
Boy, I know it's only the first game and all.... but you can't help but get a feeling that this is pretty much how the season's going to go. Everyone kinda looked in character, and we just kind of grinded it out at the end. This'll probably be good enough to hold the fort down for Derrick if/when he comes back, but the perceived strengths and weaknesses of the team seem on target after game 1. Another point worth mentioning is that Thibs was getting a little experimental with the lineups out there for the first time in his tenure here, IMO.
