Should Chip leave(which is likely). He's learned under his system, and guess which 2 coaches who are on the chopping block?

    Norv Turner and Andy Reid.

I think either one of those 2 would be great offensive coords. Norv is an Oregon alumni so I can see it happening. And whose to say either one of those can't recruit perhaps?

Forget Turner. When he was the QB he was arguably the most hated man on campus. There were games the student section would cheer for the opposing defense in the desperate hope he would get hurt and the idiot coach would have to give somebody else a chance.

But when he was OC for several NFL team, he was really good. You can't deny his resume

    Neither.

For now I'd rather have a coach who will continue with the system we have so as to maximize success.

someday CK won't be the Ducks coach as nothing last forever. But it wouldn't surprise me much more if he coaches the next 10-15 years at Oregon then if he bolted after this season. Why? Because despite reading all that I can I realize that I really barely know shit about CK's priorities, life/family situation, happiness, etc... I've never spoken to him let alone know the guy, but I'm guessing he's got both a lot of enticing options counterbalanced by a seemingly awesome current situation. I have heard his parents recently relocated to Eugene though... hard to fill a deadline with a story about how a high profile coach probably stays put

And it's a fair point to make he may decide to stay for years. There are so many reasons to do so.

Do you realize, do you have any idea how tempting this one was?? I mean, think if HCP or PapaG read this? But I'm not touching it, or even making it part of my signature. It just wouldn't be right.

I've heard from a relative of a prominent booster within the University that Chip is gay.

    Dead serious about it.

Not that there's anything wrong with it. I'm sure some Republicans in here might feel uncomfortable about the possiblity though.

That's odd. It's often reported he has a girlfriend.

Besides, who would come to the Duck forum and try to politicize it with your hatred of people who don't think like you? Ever thought of becoming a Beaver fan?

You've obviously never met me if you think I 'hate' people that don't think like me.

I always thought Maurice Cheeks was gay. Personally I don't give a shit. I just care if they're a good coach.

So the inside word is that Chip Kelly might leave?

I've been hearing rumors in the national media, but the local medias tend to be more insightful. Is that what they're saying in Oregon?

Also, I don't understand why a coach of a team like Oregon would want to go from the collegiate to pro ranks. I could list reasons 1-100, but at the end of the day, I just don't think there's a good reason to leave for the pro's from a job like Oregon unless the money is that much better, or if the coach has some weird psychological thing about proving himself on the NFL level.... which, at the end of the day, don't we remember the great collegiate coaches more than we remember the great pro coaches anyway?
