It's never my intention to ignore even one aspect of the Bible. The Old Testament (in all its seeming quirkiness) paved the way for Jesus' birth. The New Testament delved into His, birth, death, resurrection, and His return. It's all about Jesus, Jesus, and more Jesus.

That said, it's clear that the Presidential race is down to two men. I will vote for the one who I feel more closely represents my overall principles and core values (even if I don't happen to agree with him on every matter). I will vote. I take it as more of an obligation/responsibility, as opposed to purely a right.

In the context of this thread, I was impressed that Billy Graham reached out to make light of some of the issues at stake.

I like how calling Mormonism a cult wa removed from his website after meeting with Romney, and deciding to support him for president. Seems, to me, unlike standing up for what you believe in, and a lifetime of practicing what you preach, and instead adjusting the tune for political motivation.

Obama is a Muslim and I don't agree with his beliefs. But even disliking him as president; I would never let any fool fuck with him. He is my president and I love my country.

Honorable? Integrity? I don't think so. As mentioned, for years Graham had long explanations on the LDS church being a "cult". He removed them in order to support a Republican LDS candidate for president. Graham is just another who cherry-picks the bible to find condemnations that happen to fit his own prejudices.

Whenever I post about hateful things said/done in the name of Christianity I'm always told those aren't real Christians, they are not following the example and teachings of Jesus. Well, IMHO when I see a millionaire preacher with mansion and private jet consorting with - and supporting - the wealthy and poweful, I have to ask, is that the example and teachings of Jesus?
