Yep. There are a lot of stupid and ignorant people in this country.

I don't care one bit about President Obama's ethnicity. I care about his policies. I'm disappointed because I think they're wrongheaded.

I'm guessing the "N" word was trending yesterday.

If Obama was smart; he would have trademarked "n" word + president. Then he could make millions like Gore did scaring the fuck out of people and suckering them to invest in carbon credits.

Obama would have been set for life!

As what the GOP needs to do… I see 2 things.

First, stop putting forward the more extreme people in your party to run. Not so much Romney as he’s a moderate (I’ll address that in #2), but they had several people running for the US Senate that were way to the right. They had no broad base appeal. Now, they may when things get worse, but for now select more centrist candidates.

Second, the left’s path to victory was lie, hate and divide. And it worked great. The GOP needed to confront that crap more, but failed to do so. The left operates out of the “you can fool some of the people…” philosophy and it has been deadly effective until things get so bad people stop believing them. But that only lasts for a short time. So the GOP needs to either fight fire with fire (not recommended, but it has been effective for the left), or get out there more and win some votes. I think the GOP is missing many votes because they don’t appeal for them the same way the left does. If they made it a point to take their side to women and minorities more, the left’s lies will start to being believed a bit less and the GOP can stabilize their base more.

The democrats are far superior campaigners. Better strategy, they connect better with people so their sound bites initially carry more weight. And, they are far more passionate than the right. And they communicate better. Those are all lessons the right needs to learn from if they want to become players again.

I feel the GOP needs to do a couple of things to get into the white house

    1. Find a moderate to run. Most of the time, you will get Senators and Congressmen who can be voted in by their constituents who are more extreme.

    2. The GOP has to find a way to embrace the Hispanic community, black community and women. Maybe not all, but 1-2 of them.

Things will most likely change between now and 2016, but I really hope the Republican party takes a close look at more libertarian type candidates

The Hispanic community is the easiest path by far. They would have to change very little about their current hard social stances, as most hispanics are catholics. It is really a matter of changing their stance on immigration, but I don't know if a lot of staunch republicans would be okay with making it easier to become a citizen.

dunno about that MM, when the GOP placed Cain on the ticket, the left called him an uncle tom..the media and the left (one and the same in my book) only believes that they are allowed the moral high ground where race is concerned. Rubio would not be considered a hispanic as he is cuban...Condi Rice would be crucified in the press and the GOP would be called out as being fake..

I thought Romney was a moderate? He had to pretend to be a hardcore conservative though i guess.

The difference is that the mainstream right disavows and condemns such people, and we don't want them on our side. Unlike, say, the left, which embraces race-hustling poverty pimps like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, hate-mongers like Farrakhan and Wright, murderous thieves and terrorists like Arafat and Abbas, and world leaders who are actively trying to undermine and destroy the United States economy like Chavez and Castro.

I also think women are an other good path. The left has been very good at making all women issues one- abortion. But I think women care a lot more about just that. If the GOP becomes the first side to treat women as people with brains and not just vaginas, they'll be able to make serious inroads.
