How has he hurt Minny? They wanted him. They got him. Now they are mis-using him. Bring him off the bench for 10-12 minutes a game and he might give some scoring punch against backups. I was of the opinion when he signed his Blazers contract he was hosing the Blazers due to his known physical problems. Now it seems he really was, and is, in denial. Oh, well. The guys made probably $90mil (actually I have no idea) and been a rock star athlete. Even with his current physical limitations, he would absolutely destroy 99% of the basketball players in the world. I'll never feel sorry for him at any level.
he will shoot better than what he is shooting now, he needs to get back into the flow when ricky and kevin get back, his role will be reduced and he will just need to hit open shots instead of create his own shot and create for others. Ricky is one of the best 3 distributors in the game so him getting open looks wont be hard. that team is finals competitor scary when ricky and kevin get back
Now see, that post started off being decent. But then it went off the deep end with the last sentence.
Was he intended to be the starter though? I thought he was to be a back up. But because of injury, he had to start
Yea hopefully the Wolves learned the lesson we all knew, despite what Roy says, restrict his damn minutes.
Roy said the reason he signed with Minnesota is they put no restriction on his role or minutes and would let him earn a starting spot. Other teams wanted Roy to come in as a limited minute backup.
I remember reading a report when he was signed the the first year was $5.4 million guaranteed, but the second year was not guaranteed. However, hoopshype.com lists his salary as $5,100,000 this season and $5,329,500 next - with both years guaranteed. Anyone know if that's accurate? If it is, Kahn is a bigger idiot that I previously suspected. BNM
I like to look on the bright side for Brandon: At least he gets to enjoy the lovely Minnesota winter.
Where in the CBA is there an injury clause to void a contract signed after summer 2011? I'd be interested to know how that happened. Roy never medically retired, and he signed a UFA contract as a "healthy" player. It is either guaranteed or has an option 'out' in 2013-14, right? Unless Storyteller is counting on Kahn trying to whine his way into blaming Portland for another stupid contract. God that guy is pure comedic gold.
