I didn't think the Blazers could be close to 500 after the first 20 games. Still don't. But these next 8 games before the 7 game road trip are huge. If they went 6-2 they would be in great shape. But I think 5-3 is the best we can ask for. More than likely 4-4. Thoughts?

Thu. 8 vs. Los Angeles Clippers
Sat. 10 vs. San Antonio Spurs
    Mon. 12 vs. Atlanta Hawks
    Tue. 13 at Sacramento Kings
    Fri. 16 vs. Houston Rockets
    Sun. 18 vs. Chicago Bulls
    Wed. 21 at Phoenix Suns
    Fri. 23 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

    Re: Nest 8 games

4-4 seems plausible, but so does 3-5 and 5-3

Most of the games are at home. It's not very realistic, but they could go 7-1 (I think it is going to be pretty tough to beat the Spurs this early in the season). They also could self-destruct and go 2-6. Just enjoy the games and hope for the best!

Honestly, does it really matter? We need to find another pretty good player or two in next year's draft and a higher lottery position helps improve the odds.

I'm all for watching the starters play pretty well and then having the worst bench in the league choke games away this year. Maybe if we get really lucky, Barton, Claver and Freeland (along with Leonard) show that they can play a little bit?
