To be quite honest what are the Knicks overall plans?? If you take a good look up and down their roster, you find yourself going what the hell? They have five players that are making over $15 MIL dollars a year and they just signed another player to a $30 MIL contract, which is a tad bit overpaid but nowhere near as bad as some of the other contracts they have taken on. What are they planning to do with Francis and Marbury? Is one of them being traded? They are two combo guards that have great statisitcs when they were main options on mediocre teams. Do they plan to trade one of them? And then Jalen Rose, another guy who needs the ball to be really productive. I've heard a rumor they are looking at Darius Miles, get on your knees and pray that doesn't happen Knicks fans. Do any Knicks fans have a plan or idea for a new direction with this team? They have a lot of great young players that they definately need to hang on to, I think they should start dishing these older, high paid players if at all possible. Any ideas here?

there's a lot of speculation as to where this team is going. it obviously was a mistake to trade for francis because of that contract and we lost a good young guy, ariza. isiah's plan is that he wants to use a more up tempo offense, something larry brown will never ever do. he also wants to improve the defense as well by adding jefferies and drafting two players that are defensive minded players (balkman and collins). it's hard for anyone outside of ny to believe this team can go anywhere since they have so many players that need the ball to be productive like you said. rose and taylor's contracts expire and they hopefully will not be traded and isiah just lets them walk. i don't know if you read the realgm article but it proposed something that isiah should do and even though it is tough it makes sense. it said that he should bench taylor, rose and francis and i forget who else. this would be tough because of their egos but francis really should not be here and the other two shouldn't either. francis is a drunk who i don't think wanted to be traded to ny in the first place. even though everyone hates marbury i think he really has a lot to prove and he can do it this year by helping them win games, he has the coach's full support since their relationship is so tight.that darius miles rumor is most likely not going to happen since we signed jefferies. he would kill our team even more with his bongs and blunts that he loves so much.i'm feeling a lot better about this season because the knicks offense is going to be more free. i also am hearing that eddy curry is working out with michael jordan's trainer and playing some pickup ball as well with nba competition and he is working out with mark aguirre as well the knicks assistant coach.we won't be competing for any titles any time soon but we will be competing for a playoff spot in 07'-08', hopefully this upcoming season as well.

It depends what the franchise does. If I were GM of the Knicks rate now, I would put up a yard sale, and just rebuild most of the team. I know it's very hard, but I would try to find someway to trade Francis, and then I would trade Q Rich too. Some of the big guys like Malik Rose, Jerome James, and others need to go too. I think you keep Jamal and Marbury though. Marbury is still a great pg, and no one would take his contract currently anyway. I thought Jamal was the best Knicks player last year. He is quick, athletic, a good shooter, and just a damn good offensive player. He is capable of putting up 20+ on any night, and I think you have to keep him. After that, you just have to let the Knicks play their style, and not force them into something that they arent good at, (ahem Larry). I think Isiah could actually do that job fine, and in my eyes he might actually keep his job as the Knicks coach, because I think they will do alot better playing their style. And also the Knicks need to play their young guys, like Nate, Channing, David Lee, etc..get them time, experience, and just see what happens from there.

no they wont because they can never make moves for like at least 5 years because all the debt theyre in..they have the biggest salary and nearly triple the team with the 2nd highest salarythey wont be able to make deals because of their awful business movesthey owe too much money to players on the team..and they have too many guards for their own goodand they cant release any of them then sign somebody because it still counts against their salary

Best thing to do now is fire Isiah and wait a few years for the 'tracts to end. So you can start signing better guys.

You guys have away Tyrus Thomas(Future star) for Eddy Curry. Now this season you might even give Greg Oden up!

The team has no direction...they trade expiring contracts for more contracts...it's insanity...and then this summer they had interest in Kenyon Martin, that tells you all you need to know...
