Fuck. How did we not recover that fumble? Fuck, fuck, fuck. Why can't Oregon win anything????

Why can't Oregon catch a break when they are playing badly like Notre Dame and Alabama did and just get a miracle touch down somehow?

    no, it's based on conference record. they're 7-1, you're 7-1.

It doesn't help that every part of our offense was failing. Stanford stopped the run, and Mariota finally looked like a Freshman. He played completely out of control in the second half.

This state is cursed. Did we piss off the Indians when we settled here?

Stanford took away the edges and we continued to try and get them to the point of losing. And, Mariota made numerous poor decisions. But he is a freshman and it's a learning experience.

Now, if USC beats ND, we still have a shot at the Natty.

Well Ducks gave it a go this year, just wasn't ment to be. Lets see if this loss is enough to keep Chip here to try for another shot at a Title or if its the end with him.

Well look, things can still play out in the Ducks favor.
    Stanford loses at UCLA
    Notre Dame loses at USC
Ducks beat Beavers in Civil War
Oregon beats UCLA in pac-12 conference game.

All the top teams have a loss now and we could make a strong case for a top 2 seeding with our strength of schedule. So a natty is not totally out of reach.

Nope. It's the curse of the Californians who moved up here in the hundreds of thousands.

    Wow.

One good drive and we are #1. Now, we can't even win the Pac 12. Choke job of massive proportions.

My fault, I guess. Everytime I start to believe - they make a point of proving me wrong! I will now go burn my Duck cap.

To have a shot at the Natty, USC needs to beat ND, and Florida needs to lose and Alabama needs to beat Georgia in the SEC championship game.

and I forgot that Standford needs to lose because without the Pac-12 Championship game we don't get it over Kansas and ND

We aren't going to the Natty. Forget that shit. It's over. Done. At this point we'll be lucky if we go to the Rose Bowl.

Agreed. We don't deserve to go to the Natty or the Rose Bowl. You can't have a game like this and expect to be given anything.

I hate college football, it is as cursed as the NBA, even with all of Nike and Phil's money we still cannot even win a damn championship. :P Seriously though I was never expecting the Ducks to play as well as they have, I was expecting more of a run at the Rose Bowl, not a run at the natty. Next year was when I was expecting us to make a strong run at the natty as it would be Mariota's second year and I believe he should play much much better than he did this game.

It's not over. Notre Dame is the only team without a loss, and they could lose at USC. Even if they don't lose, you have several 1 loss teams that will be completing for the #2, and a win over OSU and UCLA could tip it in our favor, especially if we bounce back and blow those teams out.

The big key is for UCLA to beat Stanford...which has a very fair chance of occuring.

Oregon will not be in position with only one game left (maybe two). We will drop to fifth or sixth in the BCS after this loss. It's over. Get it out of your head.
