MLS Cup 2012 may still be less than two weeks away, but clubs around the league already have their sights on 2013. On Monday afternoon a Waiver Draft will be held by MLS via conference call with clubs having the option to pick up out-of-contract players or players whose options were not exercised and are otherwise NOT eligible for December's Re-Entry Draft. A list of available players will be released by the league shortly before Monday's Waiver Draft. Any players not selected in the Waiver Draft will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis to teams around the league. RSL nab ex-Crew midfielder with sole MLS Waiver pick NEW YORK -- Cole Grossman is headed west. The second-year midfielder released by the Columbus Crew was selected by Real Salt Lake in the MLS Waiver Draft held on Monday. He was the only player selected in the draft. Grossman, 23, was originally drafted by the Crew in the 2nd round of the 2011 SuperDraft. In two seasons at Crew Stadium, the 6-foot attack-minded midfielder made 10 league appearances, notching one goal, in a 2-2 draw away to the Houston Dynamo on August 19, 2012.
