"Befor (sic) There Were Rules: Bar Brawler" is the debut novel from Tank Abbott, future UFC Hall of Famer and the original Huntington Beach Bad Boy. Bar Brawler is the first of a trilogy of books by Abbott that are a semi-fictionalized autobiography featuring the very Tank Abbott'y character Walter Foxx and his rise from bar fighter to cage fighting legend. You'd think your life's work would be worth a proofread, or at least the damn cover! I mean holy shit the very first word is misspelled? How did this go to print!

Also, I love the graphics. His cover is the best work I've seen done in MS Paint on Windows 3.1. Almost all of the colour comes through-almost! Maybe it's trying to show that he has a dark side and a light side. Dunno about the ear...

I kid but I'm likely to buy this damn thing cause I'm sure it's an insane and entertaining read. A 600-lbs bench press bar brawler driving around in an 87 Sprint with his pit bull Adolph, taking the stand and defending himself, and hanging with his bros Poppa Chulo and Gonzo?

Apparently the "Befor" is a deliberate misspelling because Tank doesn't play by the rules and Thomas Jefferson said there isn't just one way to spell a word and beer and get knocked out and truth motherfucker can you see it!
