I said that if I won my bet with papag, I would spend it on an S2 drink fest. But I haven't seen many interested in getting together. This sounds like it probably won't happen, but thought I would throw it out one more time.

To make it easier, I picked the date and time so that posters can either say yes or no. Rather than have it on a home Blazers game, I'm thinking doing it during a Blazer away game so we can watch the game and drink.

So, tomorrow, Nov 21 (if I can get papag to confirm) or Nov 28. there is a bar called legends in Beaverton that is not doing well. We could have the whole bar to ourselves and run up the tab thanks to papag. :) I could also do Buffalo Wildwings or Stars. I am going to make it on the westside, but am open to suggestions.

    Anyone in for tomorrow?

    Anyone in for the 28th?

21st is off (papag not available). So looks like the 28th. Papag may or may not be able to make it, but as long as I get the $200, there will be plenty to drink.

Hope posters can make it. I will show up and have a drink (or two) and if no one is there I'll either pocket the rest and go home . . . or stay and continue to drink. :)

Leaning towards legends bar in Beaverton unless majority wants something eles (westside).

Can't do 21st; 50/50 I can do the 28th. I love the idea of giving a struggling bar a boost for a night, so I vote for Legends. Plus, they'll be more likely to actually turn the sound up and turn the jukebox off.

Ask Sly, I can drink a LOT of Coors Light. I'm all about quantity over quality.

Can I bring my Nerf shotgun?

I will try to make it wherever it's at, but ToB will have the money by then, regardless.

I can't make either, but you might want to post this in the non-OT section if you are interested in having it be more about bball then politics.

    Happy Turkey Day All!

Update on The Liquor Fest: Wed November 28 (Blazers vs. Undeafeated Wizards): Man I have been so damn busy I figure I better make these plans as definite as possible in case posters need advance notice to make it.

Papag has told me he will either be there or get me the money. Myself, I have been so damn busy (have I mentioned that) that I don't know how long I can hang out . . . but I will be there with the money and having at least one drink (how has my life come to this). If I have to leave early, I will leave the remaining money with one of you . . . make sure to tip well :).

We got $200 to spend. Thinking it out if 10 guys show up, we will rip through $200 (20/person without tip) so I'm thinking $200 worth of pitchers. If it is only 3-4 we can drink and eat up whatever we want (to a point).

I'm picking the place as Buffalo Wild Wings in Beaverton. I already hear a collective "ugh." I personally have never been there, but it is big, I'm sure has big screens for the game, will have a decent menu for those who want food, has Stars across the street for those who want entertainment . . . and it happens to be close to my work :). I will get out the address later, but the zip is 97005.

My first real day off in a while . . . feels good. Time to watch some football and be thankful for all we have. Hope you all are enjoying the day off.

Just read this post and agree.

I picked Buffalo Wild Wings because it was the safe pick. Legends is a little hole in the wall bar that just opened up in Beaverton. It looked cool from the outside with team banners and inside on the wall was sports stuff. But when I drove by one night during a Blazer game, there were 2 people in the entire bar. Felt sorry for the owner and am wondering how long they will survive. It has a total bar atmosphere and will have more personality than Buffalo.

Anyways, I'm going to keep it at Buffalos unless I hear a chant for Legends.

I'll start chanting for Legends, but I have a natural prejudice towards large gatherings of douchebros. I could be convinced to be tolerant for a night and go to Buffalo Wild Wings....

I am planning on being there at this point. If not, you will get your money. I think it's cool that you are going to support a business with my private sector money. That's America!!! :)
