Where are we going to end up? I think dream scenario for us is beating the Ducks and somehow making the Fiesta Bowl. We would have two losses along with the Ducks and a lot of other legit teams so it'll be tough to make it. Oklahoma has been to the Fiesta so often they might not travel well, only two SEC teams can get into BCS bowls so maybe we would have a legit chance! Even if we beat Oregon they still have so much national recognition and Nike backing it'll be hard for us to get in a bowl over them. A USC loss to Norte Dame hurts the Ducks because that or their home win vs Arizona are their only quality victories. We'd possibly have four wins better than any of theirs.
If we beat the Ducks I think we may have about a 50-50 shot at getting a BCS Bowl. I'll take any bowl game though after the last 2 years.
I don't know if winning against a 1-9 Nicholls State team will make any difference in a better bowl. Its like the Beavs are playing against Tennessee Tech. LOL !
Your floor is probably the Sun Bowl against NC State or Miami. Depending on the picks (The order goes Alamo, Holiday, Sun, Las Vegas and Fight Hunger--and the New Mexico Bowl if an 8th team qualifies) it should probably go Stanford to Rose, Oregon to Fiesta, UCLA or OSU to Alamo (against Texas or Oklahoma State), the other to the Holiday (TCU or Texas Tech, unless they want WVU in a 77-70 game), UW/USC/ASU fighting over the rest and Arizona to the New Mexico.
We'll either be in the Alamo or Holiday. We deserve to get the Alamo, but we'll probably get fucked over and UCLA will get it.
I can't see the Beavs going to the Holiday Bowl. They shouldn't drop the last two games like UCLA has (both to stanford). Beavs will have the same conference record but better overall record vs UCLA making them 3rd in the Conference overall, and not to mention the tiebreaker.
