<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Charlotte Observer - Argentine forward Walter Hermann gave the Charlotte Bobcats a verbal commitment to sign with the club, Bernie Bickerstaff confirmed Thursday. Bickerstaff said Hermann will sign a one-year contract with the team holding an option for a second season. The Bobcats are now approaching the minimum payroll stipulated by the NBA's salary cap for next season. Hermann will take a physical sometime in the next two weeks while preparing to play for Argentina in the upcoming basketball World Championships.</div> Love this pickup, sort of followed this guy after hearing the interest from the Bobcats last year. Finally he and the Bobcats have come to a agreement. He's very much like his Argentina teammate Nocioni of Bulls. For those who don't know about him, he's got a sad story, he lost his mother, father, girlfriend and sisters in little over a year. It's good to see him make it to the NBA. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVgfx6VtFHo
It's good to see someone like him making it to the NBA. Hopefully, he'll contribute to the Bobcats and have a great basketball career.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rok @ Aug 10 2006, 09:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>For those who don't know about him, he's got a sad story, he lost his mother, father, girlfriend and sisters in little over a year.</div>Wow, that's terrible. :no1: After all that, he really deserves a chance to improve his life and if that's him entering and playing in the NBA, then so be it. I commend him for moving on with his life after all that has happened to him.
Bump for Hermann's breakout stretch. Guy is straight up playing his game right now with the Bobcats and I for one am glad he's adjusted after a poor start.
