Ducks won, but everything else went the worst way possible for Oregon. Don't be surprised if we switch places with Stanford in the polls and get a 2nd tier bowl game.
Well until the Pac-12 shows that its a strong conference, then it must beat these SEC teams or have them in a matchup in their regular schedule. Its not like the Pac-12 has done well against SEC opponents in the bowls recently. Not to mention the tight loss vs Auburn for the Ducks back in 2011.
What and you think the SEC shouldn't have its own Championship? I don't understand your logic behind the Ducks since they had wimpy 3 game non conference schedule with Arkansas St, Fresno St, Tennesse Tech ? Come on !
the Ducks will get into a major bowl but I don't think they're the most desired team by all the bowls. The Sugar Bowl has the first choice of those outside the mNCG and I'd guess putting butts in seats is a priority for them... all the other fanbases in play are located closer to New Orleans then Oregon probably going to be the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix STOMP
Pretty much agree. We will be good for tv ratings but not for ticket sales. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Are you kidding? Alabama played: Western Kentucky (7-5 from the Sunbelt Conference) Florida Atlantic (3-8 from the Sunbelt Conference) Western Carolina (1-10 from the Southern Conference) Let's compare that to Oregon: Arkansas State (8-1 and 1st in the Sun Belt) Fresno State (9-3 and 1st in the MWC) Tennessee Tech (3-8 OVC) And we were supposed to play KState this year. You were saying about a "wimpy 3 game non conference schedule"?
It's all moot at this point, but it had been said on more than one occasion by someone I know very well in here...."If you can't even win your own conference, you have no business playing in the Natty." For some reason, Colorado of years' past comes to mind.
