I'm suprised to see the Spurs mentioned, but not the Pistons. Switching to a more up-tempo style last year must have really increased their 'watchability'. They should be even more fun this year without the offenseless Ben Wallace to bore things up.
but really, we shouldn't just throw that word around. not just anyone can be a superstar. That's a title for the best, and more importantly, most popular players in the league. That's why guys like Tim Duncan and Paul Pierce aren't superstars (in my book atleast).

I didnt even mention anything like that. Im just saying that Bosh is a really good player. End of story.
And I agree about the Jazz being a pretty boring team. A fat foreign C with no back to the basket game (Okur); a vastly overpaid complimentary type PF (Boozer); a shooting guard with as much skill as a brick (Giricek) . . . the list would be longer but at least they added Deron Williams and AK47 is an exciting player, but not nearly enough to make them fun to watch.
CB4 you cant always say these things because he is your favorite player. Bosh is a good player for right now. But he will be great in the future.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nba dogmatist @ Aug 11 2006, 01:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>well, your reasoning for him being a superstar was him being in the all-star game, so...</div>No. My reasoning was that he is likely a top 20 player, and averages 22 and 9 at age 22. He may not be a superstar yet, but he will be soon. And TheAnalyst. Why do you kep calling Bosh only a good player? He is obviously a great player, or he wouldnt be averaging those kind of numbers. 22/9 ftw.
CB4, you have to understand that there are not very many "superstar" caliber players in the league right now. You have to have more than just numbers in order to be a super star caliber player. I will give you a list of about 10 players that IMO are what you would call SuperStars1. Lebron James2. Dwyane Wade3. Kobe Bryant4. Shaq O'neal5. Tracy McGrady6. Allen Iverson7. Dirk Nowitzki8. Kevin Garnett9. Tim Duncan10. Amare Stoudemire(if he gets back to what he was 2 seasons ago in the playoffs against the Spurs)Bosh would fall under the category of "stars" with about 20 other players in the NBA. He would be right around in the middle of that list as well. If he keeps on progressing like many people think he will, he will be a super star within a few years along with Gilbert, Carmelo, Chris Paul, and Dwight Howard and possibly some others....
Hey Bosh isn't a superstar let me list all the superstars in a numbered list hey also Bosh isn't a superstar because he was in the allstar game ha ha ha
Jazz(Boring but I still watch 'em)SpursBlazersGrizzliesSeattleAnd a like pmac said...Without TMac, Houston is boring
As a Raptors die hard fan I can tell you that Chris Bosh is not a Superstar, just yet! He has the potential to be one but as of now he is an All-Star calibre player! A superstar in my mind is someone who can single handedly defeat teams and step up during pressure situations. Bosh is developing his game slowly and im banking on him becoming a superstar in like 2 years time but as of now he is an All-Star.Anyways the most boring teams to watch in my mind are:Clippers (hate watching them when their games air in Toronto)Griz (Pau Gasol is not enough to keep me entertained)Utah (one word, OSTERTAG!)and would anyone be offended if I said the Suns?
Okay, I agree with that. I guess I sort of meant a consistent all star calibre player when I said superstar.I wouldnt say the Grizzlies are that boring. I like watching Pau Gasol alot. He is a very good passer for a big man, he has a nice shot, and he can post up too. He is also pretty quick, and also a great shotblocker and pretty good defender now. Mike Miller is also really fun to watch. He is a very good scorer. I just included the Grizzlies because I couldnt think of another boring team and I wanted to list 5 :[]

He puts up good numbers on below .500 teams now. Superstarts atleast have taken their teams to the playoffs in the past or have done so last season. Bosh has not done that. He's just a star.
Hes the best in big men when it comes to percentages I think he was the only one last season to shoot over .500 from the field and over .800 from the free throw line...or something along the lines of that, correct me if im wrong.
