By "wrong", I mean reasons they are struggling 1. Youth. 2. They have absolutely no quality bench players 3. They absolutely no interior defenders 4. Lillard is a God awful defender 5. Too much dribbling on offense 6. Lillard picks up his dribble too soon (confusing to some, I am sure) 7. Hickson and Aldridge do not compliment each other 8. Aldridge ad the offense is settling for too many jump shots 9. Lillard doesn't know how to draw contact The great news is all of these things can be fixed, so there is absolutely no reason to panic or be upset. It just probably won't be this year Perspective time Isiah Thomas Rookie year PER 14.5. Career 18.1 Rookie year FG%.424. Career .452
THIS! 8. Aldridge and the offense is settling for too many jump shots I'm getting tired of our PF playing like a SG.
good summation and season is going about as expected, lots of ups and downs and more losses than wins. Lillard is already looking like a great pick but he has holes in his game and that will improve with time. As bad as our bench is I would like to see them get more minutes, especially the Euros and Barton, may as well try to develop them, whether that costs up a few games IMO is immaterial vs trying to get these guys experience. Lastly I think "possibly" trading LMA is something that may be considered near the deadline "if" it gets us the value we want/need back.
Agreed on all accounts, especially with the playing of rooks more. Neil seems like a guy who will always be dealing, however, it's incredibly unlikely he'll find equal value for our All-Star.
