Energy from OTR had a great idea on this, Major props to them. This thread is for you to make your very own Dream Team! You can use past and current players, and use them however you want. If you want four guards to fast break all the time, go ahead. If you want to dominate the paint with three centers, be my guest. However, there is one catch. I am making a list of players you can't use, so you actually have to think - imagine that. So you can't just take the best players ever, you have to use some role players to make your team work.At the end, explain why your team will win, and so on.Excluded Players List:Michael JordanMagic JohnsonLarry BirdKarl MaloneWilt ChamberlainBill RussellCharles BarkleyHakeem OlajuwonMoses MaloneKareem Abdul-JabarShaquille O'NealOscar RobertsonClyde DrexlerJulius ErvingGeorge GervinJohn StocktonIsiah ThomasJerry WestLeBron JamesDwyane WadeKobe BryantTim DuncanMy team:PG- Walt Frazier- A top 5 point guard of all time in my opinion. He was such a great scorer and playmaker that people overlook the fact that he was a top notch defender as well. One of the greatest defensive guards in league history. He was the best player on one of the best teams in history. He dominated Jerry West in the 1970 NBA finals. He frustrated West with his tough defense and unstoppable jump shot.Frazier had one of the best stat lines in NBA history. In game 7 of the 1970 NBA finals against the great Laker team that consisted of Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, and Wilt Chamberlian. Frazier scored 39 points, dished out 19 assists, and had 5 steals. Just his points and assists alone combined for 77 of his teams total points. Those great numbers are overshadowed because of the great heroics of Willis Reed who surprised the world by limping onto the court with a major leg injury. Had this been any other night people would still be talking about Fraziers amazing performance. SG- Reggie Miller- Every team needs a shooter on it's roster, If your down in the 4th quarter this is your go-to man. He is unselfish, He gives it 100% every night, The only negative part about Millers game is the fact that he seems to be one-dimensional, He doesn't rebound, Pass. or play defense well.SF- Scottie Pippen- One of the best defenders in NBA history. Name is scattered across the NBA?s all-time leader board: 40th in total points (18,940), fourth in steals (2,307), tied for 16th in steals per game (1.96), 23rd in assists (6,135), 13th in minutes (41,069), 16th in minutes per game (34.9), 32nd in three-point field goals made (978) (nba.com)PF- Kevin Garnett- One of the most intense players in NBA history, You can always count on him to get you 22 points, 12-13 rebounds per game. He is a good scorer, Great rebounder, Great defender, Shoots a high %, Has extreme court vision for a big man. He NEVER gives up.C- David Robinson- He is known for his amazing defense and rebounding but he can stll give you 23 points per night. He helped lead the Spurs to 2 NBA titles. He is one of the nicest and considerate men in NBA history, I remember reading how he sacraficed his scoring numbers to boost Tim Duncans. He began to play away from the basket at the high post, So that Duncan could do his thing down low. In lowered Robinsons scoring, Raised Duncans. My bench:Gary PaytonDominique Wilkins Dennis RodmanRick BarryPatrick Ewing
