Compared to those situations, the 6-7 Bulls, playing in a wide-open Eastern Conference, without Derrick Rose, and not even a third of the way through the season, are living on easy street. But after such a stunning loss Monday night, a 93-92 defeat on the back end of a home-and-home with Milwaukee, somehow the sky is now falling and Tom Thibodeau, the fastest coach to 100 wins in NBA history and just two seasons removed from winning the league's Coach of the Year award, is incompetent. Why panic if you don't have high expectations in the first place? No way Thibs is incompetent. At .500, he's made lemonade out of lemons.
Not too worried about the team at the moment. Flaws have been exposed, but nothing that we didn't already suspect was there. The only thing that concerns me is the heavy minutes Noah is playing through. I don't know if he can go a whole season like this, and it'd really blow to have an injured/hobbled Noah at the end of the season when Rose comes back.
To call Thibs incompetent is somehow stupid. I think that the Bulls .500 record is good. Could have been 9-5 if they had better games against Hornets and Bucks at home. I will be happy if the Bulls are at .500 or some games better when (if) Rose comes back this season. And I'm staying positive and see better games from Hinrich.
I've been in panic mode since Rose blew out his knee and will remain in said mode until Rose proves to me that I can unfurl myself from the fetal position. Thibodeau incompetent? That's just silly.
Meanwhile, CJ Watson and Keith Bogans have teamed up to lead the Nets to an 11-4 record. How did we let those guys get away? The guy who let them go is the incompetent one! ;-)
