The Los Angeles Lakers, man. I want to go with the Boston Celtics, but I'm positive that the Lakers with Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West and Gail Goodrich would have dominated in that era, too. They went for 33 straight wins. NON-STOP! That's amazing! The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls were good and all, but even with a 72-10 record, they still did not win 33 straight. That's amazing!

I think the 95-96 bulls are tough to beat. 72 wins! They never really had the best side on paper, but they were dam near unbeatable.

The 96 Bulls were great, but they played the Raptors four times a year! The team competition wasn't too strong in the Mid-90's. Showtime is the best, in particular the 1987 team, they were the best, their bench would win the title in todays league.

Yikes, this is really, really tough as there is no true answer to this. It is all about matchups and how the coach decides to face a certain team. I feel if the '96 Bulls slowed down the game against the '85 Lakers, I feel they could beat them. Likewise if those same Bulls played against one of the Celtics teams who lost against the Lakers in the '80's would beat the Bulls because the different style of play. But overall the 2 best teams were the '80's Celtics and Lakers. They had tougher competition than any other elite teams in NBA history, and still dominated the era. Both teams had countless HoF's and all stars, it was just amazing.
