Yeah, attribute this win to the bench- well, sort of.

It was the best the bench had played all season. Everyone scored. Our starters would've been too tired to finish if it weren't for the bench

I wish I could have seen this game. Thanks for the lively game thread.

I think Freeland found his game against Boston. That game was so horrific that it seems most people didn't notice that he went 2-3 from the field, with 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and a blocked shot in his 12 minutes. Maybe Freeland finding some rhythm was the silver lining of that game.

Tonight: 3-4 for 8 points, with 2 rebounds and 1 block in his 12 minutes.

Lets give him his 12 minutes a night and see what happens.

Freeland looked like a LMA lite out there: a big softy, but with a sweet stroke from range, and a couple of monster blocks... a little like LMA in his rookie year. He might actually be getting the hang of it now. Definitely worth giving him 8 minutes a game as backup PF.

Leonard looks like a junior high player sometimes... he and Nolan are like the Keystone Kops on defense. But then he'll break out a dunk or jump hook and remind us there's hope. Man he's raw, but no more raw than Jermaine was.

If Freeland were a decent LaMarcus lite, Stotts could use him as his jump shooting PF, and move LaMarcus to the block. But two decent 12 minute runs from the bench doesn't mean he's close to that. My ceiling for Freeland is just that, a good 12 minute backup PF/C. I'll take that.

Any win is a good win, but I have to say this - watching Zellar vs Leonard was painful. The big guy looks lost out there.

Why cus your old? Don't have enough time to wait for Leonard to develop? The Blazers knew what they were getting and giving up when passing over Zeller.

In his first 4 minutes, I think he was 2-2 FG, 2-2 FT, 6 points, 1 block. So you could give him 4 minutes per game and do better per minute.

Zeller is what he is. A big with an outside shot who does nothing great but everything okay. He doesnt have near the potential leonard has and is never going to be anything special. His ceiling is a poor mans spencer hawes.

Zeller hasn't exactly been the pillar of consistency either. Last nights game came after a good game, yes, but before that he was 3 bad games, 1 good game.

Seriously, look at his game logs. He has 1 good game and then crap for 3. Then 1 good game and then crap for 3. Last nights game was the first time he had 2 good games in a row.

Btw, are there 3 Zeller brothers? If Luke Zeller stays in the league after this year, that'd mean there'd be 3 of the SAME Zeller family in the league. Has there ever been multiple family members in the NBA?

Outside of twins, how many brothers period have been in the NBA?

It's hard enough to make it in the NBA period, but to have 3 from the same family? Crazy. Hell, Walton only had 1 kid make it in the NBA. Rick Barry had 3 sons, so that answers my question.

But their father was an NBA legend, I think the Zellers having 3 sons in the NBA is more impressive.

The Zeller family had three sons all 6'11 or taller. Thats insane. I dont think the eldest will stay long in the nba but I do see long futures for tyler zeller as a journey man center and Cody as a near all star big.

I don't remember Jermaine being as good as Leonard is now.

Were Gerald and Dominique Wilkins brothers? Also, don't forget Jason and Jarron Collins. And what's Blake's brother Taylor up to nowadays? I believe he was drafted by an NBA team. Then, of course, in the coaching ranks, there's Stan and Jeff.

    Oh, you said besides twins.

You never heard of the Jones brothers? Early 80s. Caldwell, Major, and I forgot, Sleepy or Grumpy or something. We currently have 2 guards whose fathers were in the NBA for many years.
