I watched the Lakers play against the Pacers and they were mediocre. Kobe, who was ill most of the night, had to carry the team on his weak shoulders. The bench hardly contributed. Thank goodness they had D12 (Dwight Howard) or they might have been blown out. Darius Morris is not a PG. He needs more confidence in his game as well. All he did was get the ball and hand to Kobe every time. Drive the lane, take a pull up jumper or something..geez! Even when Nash comes back this team is in trouble because the bench sucks. Resigning Andrew Goudelock would be a start for regaining ground; pure shooter.
I think this will definitely be a busted season for the Lakers. Last night they got beaten by the Magic. Even without Nash that should've been a walk in the park win.
I have to admit that I'm shocked at how quickly they turned it around just by adding Nash to the mix. I still wouldn't consider them a contender as they would not be able to get through Clippers, Thunder or Spurs. Those teams are top noch right now.
