Which NBA Head Coach actually says to his team "well guys we rose three spots in the ESPN power rankings!!" All the rankings do is give people that know close to absolutely nothing about basketball an excuse to argue with people who know what they're talking about (me). We did without them before, we can do without them now. they serve no purpose.</span>

I mean, they're just a fan's (or writer's) way of ranking the teams. Ya, the actual teams don't care, but whatever.Incidentally, the only media power rankings that really matter are those ranking the college teams. Now those, the teams really at and care about.

Their getting underrated here, the team like last year should once again battle for the 8th spot in the West and probably win it.

Re: NO MORE POWER RANKINGS!! the Raps have done NOTHING to give them a higher spot in the power rankings!!!! Once they win a few games... maybe. but at the moment all they got is talent. Need to prove them selves. Same goes for my beloved sonics - while they showed improvement at the end of last season, they need a few wins to get some respect.
