I like Marvinmartian's list. I would add:Strengths:CoachingMismatchesWeaknesses:InconsistencySomewhat of a lack of veteran leadershipI must add that these weaknesses may improve this coming season.

What i can say, our triangle execution got better down the track. Our defense at times was good at other times it was bad. Really, i don't see any outstanding strengths in the lakers. Our weaknesses are glaring, we have no inside presence, no power foward. No defense at the 1 and we don't have enough defensive players. We have no-one who can take pressure off bryant. We have a bunch of 2nd stringers and defensive black holes. But the triangle makes Luke walton seem decent so i still believe.pg- Smush [actually played good defense for one month then went into gamble modesg- Kobe [ He needs help]Sf- Vlad [defense is average, can shoot. put the ball on the floor]pf- Odom [sucks at the 4, will be abused. Not a post player]C- Kwame [our other defensive stopper]
StrengthsDefense- If there's one thing Van Gundy has done right, it's teaching defense. Despite finishing 23 in wins, we still finished 4th in points allowed. Half-court set- Another of Van Gundy's tactics. With Yao providing low-post presence, the game revolves around him in half-court.WeaknessesFast break- Basically, non-existent. I don't have stats for fast-break points per game, but I'll guarantee we'd be in the bottom 5.PF depth- Even as bad as Stromile was, he still did at least a decent job of sharing PF with Juwan Howard. Now, Juwan is a year older and slower, and his only backup is CHuck Hayes (unless we switch to Battier, which would only be possible against certain teams and matchups, most prominently the Suns).

The only thing Sam Mitchell is good at coaching wise is motivating his players. He is definately a bottom 3 coach in the League. You could definately add that.

Might as well move bench production to strengths too because Flip Murray and Ronald Dupree will change that, and McDyess and Hunter are still Pistons.

Your weaknesses are inside play. You cannot play with a team who slows down the temp. Your not good at playing at other teams tempo. If you look at it, they games we beat u, they were all below 100.
Yeah but with Kurt healthy and our inside scorer Amare coming back we'll be fine there. Our rebounding is still pretty bad though but we won't just be pushovers on the inside if Kurt can just stay healthy for the playoffs. Even with just Kurt Thomas we wouldn't have struggled as much with the inside game.
Good Stuff 1. Speed is pretty good. 2. Good size. 3. Solid post players Bad Stuff 1. No defense 2. Backcourt is shaky outside of Redd
