No one is getting walked all over - at least not in my case. After 51 years of looking, I can honestly say I have finally found someone who is my equal in every way (physically, emotionally, sexually, etc.). We're not clones (that would be boring), but we are compatible in our beliefs, our priorities an lifestyle. I treat her with respect, she treats me with respect and we have a great life together.

Seriously, I treat my girl as my equal, because she is. She appreciates that. She's a rational, intelligent human being. If she thinks I did something wrong, she tells me. Sometimes she's right, sometimes it was just a misunderstanding. Either way, open, honest communication lets us fix any little problems before they become big ones.

Yes, but that wasn't what Mags was saying. Mags was saying you are if you tell her you were wrong even if you don't think you are. You know, the open and honest communication you refer to. It's not honest communication if you say you're wrong and don't feel it's the truth, just to appease someone from getting mad.

Sometimes sacrificing a pawn is necessary to protect the king. There's usually a greater truth that arguing over facts gets in the way of... damn that sounds awfully disingenuous, but I really believe it. I know that my wife also does the same thing.

 

Oh I agree for the most part, and understand that. It just seemed like BNM was missing that portion of what Mags said.

 

No being whipped is saying you're wrong because your girl thinks you are. And from the way I read your post, it sounded like you would say your wrong even if you disagree.
