Horrible stats tonight. Looks like it was all fool's gold. Knicks made the right choice.

I've typed it before and I'll type it again....... the scouts figured his game out. The advanced scouts in the NBA are great at seeing what player's strengths are.

I don't think he's garbage.... I also don't think he's anywhere near the stats that he was putting up last year. I do think he can be a solid player for a playoff team. He plays smart basketball. He's not an All-Star.

Like a lot of people, I never bought the hype and expected him to come down to earth at some point. It would be great to have him coming off our bench for the next four years. I have no idea what he's paid.

he's a little too slow to reasonably guard most of the athletes at the 1 and Harden trumps his strengths on offense. I've no idea why they didn't stick with Lowry (despite his hissy after the season) or Dragic as either would be both better and a better fit... they even paid Lin more then GD signed in PHX for

Maybe he's just a poor fit with Harden? Watch the Lakers trade Steve Blake for Lin.

Lin is like a lot of NBA players who aren't good enough to be consistent high caliber players, but can pout together some good games in the right situation. Similar to a pocket passer as opposed to a running QB in college. Get them in the right system and surround him with the right players and they can be successful.

Garbage no, but his inevitable All Star selection will be a joke. Talk about being elected because of demographics. LOL

But the Knicks chose a PG who was garbage. He must be - look at his stats with us.

Have they released any numbers yet? I'm curious where he ranks so far in votes.

I believe it's a three year $25 million contract but $14 of it is all in the third year which would've killed the Knicks so they had to say no.

the Knicks own MSG and CableVision, and had Isiah Thomas as a GM for half a decade. It could've been 140M and it wouldn't have "killed" them.

What's doubly damning for Lin is that it's not even that he's contributing and not putting up stats: he has the worst +/- on the entire team. It's a shame Morey isn't Kahn: Kahn is at least willing to admit he made a mistake and unload a player fast.

HOWEVER, I can see him including Lin in a trade for Pau. You know D'Antoni wouldn't mind.

How much money do the Rockets make by continuing the China connection? Some business writer should try to quantify it.

They would've been hit hard by the luxury tax. It would've hurt their ability to improve the team.

I wonder if the Knicks still think they made the right decision: NYK 103, HOU 131

It makes sense; Lin is a ball-dominating scoring point guard like Kidd, while Harden is a ball-dominating combo guard like Roy. There's only one ball.
