Thought I'd start a thread where you can help others with their gift shopping. I know some of you have to feel like you hit a home run with something you're giving this year. I'll start off with one I bought for my wife to give me on Christmas. If you're having a hard time with what to buy for Dad, or any other grown guy, consider a Work Sharp knife sharpening station....if you have a few bucks to spend. They cost $70 bucks, and I got mine from BiMart last week. I decided to try it out before hand, and boy does it work. It does kitchen knives with one guide, and hunting knives and scissors on another guide. Mine made about a dozen dull knives into razors in about a half hour. Something a guy will use all his life. Made in Ashland Oregon, too. I don't have a dog in the fight, as I don't have any connection to the company. Just thought I would put it out there for someone struggling with what to buy. Good for a lady that loves a sharp knife in the kitchen, as well. Go Blazers
Sounds great, I could actually use a knife sharpener. Some of my fishing and project knives have been geting dull. But, otherwise, I don't allow sharp blades in our kitchen (i.e. where my wife has access to them).
There's actually some pretty cool stuff at that site. Thanks. (Haven't had time to go to HAAK72's link yet.) Go Blazers
I bought a nespresso for myself. there are a few good deals going around and there's a $100 club credit for supplies once you buy.
I got these leather coasters from Tanner Goods, a local Portland company. fucking love them, especially here in LA. good gift for people who moved away from PDX. http://www.tannergoods.com/products/coaster-set-cognac
