Umm... yeah. The Lakers have already had three coaches this season:

    Mike Brown (1-4), Bernie Bickerstaff (4-1), Mike D'Antoni (4-7)

Looks like they should have kept Bernie.

So, the real question is, has any team ever had four coaches in one season. The answer is yes, twice.

    The 1981-82 Cleveland Cavaliers:
Don Delaney (4-11), Bob Kloppenburg (0-3), Chuck Daly (9-32), Bill Musselman (2-21)

    The 1988-89 Indian Pacer:
Jack Ramsay (0-7), Mel Daniels (0-2), George Irvine (6-14), Dick Versace (22-31)

Actually, three head coaches in one season is fairly common, as a team fires one head coach and names an interim head coach while they search for a "permanent" replacement. This is the third time in team history that the Lakers have had three head coaches in one season.

    1998-99 Los Angeles Lakers:
Del Harris (6-6), Bill Bertka (1-0), Kurt Rambis (24-13)

    and most famously:
    1994-95 Los Angeles Lakers:
Randy Pfund (27-37), Bill Bertka (1-1), Magic Johnson (5-11)

By one game. If they win the lottery, we won't be laughing.

Hollinger says they can't win the lotto because of something with their pick. The best part!

In that case I hope they don't win another game.

i think its some convoluted mess of the suns own their pick if it is top 14, and the cavs can swap it for any one of miami/sac/their own if it is 14-30

so if they finish in the #1-#14, they lose it to the suns for nash

if they finish #15 and up, they likely get it swapped out for miamis pick, which cleveland owns

Don't worry, all of your problems will be solved once the Lakers sign Delonte West.

I was getting worried about you yesterday, not seeing you post anything. I thought maybe you went shopping at CTC (not cut the check).

What does is say about me that I so happily wallow in Purple & Piss Schadenfreude? Nothing good, I'm afraid.

By the way, HLKA is repped for this entire thread. Hilarious!

Calm down Bubba Ho-tep. Bernie coached just as many games as Mike Brown (and won 4x as many). How can we not count him? He's the best coach the Lakers have had all year!

Of course, the way it's looking, Mike D'Antoni may end up being an interim coach, too. Just keeping the throne warm for his royal Philness.

Currently, Felton is outscoring K*be, 16-13, plus has 5 assists.
