The Stage One draft of the Re-Entry Process will take place on Friday at 3 pm ET and the Stage Two draft will take place the following Friday, Dec. 14, at 3 pm ET. The two drafts will take place via teleconference with all 19 clubs represented. MLS will release the results following each of the calls. Both Stage One and Stage Two drafts will be conducted in the same order as the traditional Waiver Draft, which means Toronto FC will have the first choice in both stages as the team that finished 2012 with the worst record, followed by Chivas USA and so on (click here to view the selection order:http://pressbox.mlssoccer.com/content/2012-mls-re-entry-process-selection-order ). Clubs must exercise the option for, or extend a Bona Fide Offer to, all players selected in Stage 1. Players that were out of contract may either accept or reject the Bona Fide Offer. Should a player reject the offer, the drafting club will hold the right of first refusal for that player in MLS. Players with option years left on their contract will automatically be added to the drafting club’s roster. Fire choose Santos with lone pick of Re-Entry Stage 1 Stage One of the 2012 MLS Re-Entry Draft came and went with only one player – Maicon Dos Santos – finding a new home as 18 teams passed with an eye toward the Stage Two draft next Friday. While their colleagues uttered "pass" in quick succession, the Chicago Fire chose Santos (above left) with the 11th pick. Santos, whose option was declined by D.C. United, enjoyed a career year with the capital city outfit, scoring seven goals and dishing out three assists in 16 starts (26 appearances). He arrived in MLS in 2009 with Chivas USA, before enjoying stints with Toronto FC, FC Dallas and D.C. He has 21 career MLS goals in 88 appearances http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/12/07/fire-choose-santos-lone-pick-re-entry-stage-one
