This is for us Laker fans and I guess others to make predictions about the Lakers this season. It can be anything about the player, coaches, front office or the whole team... anything.I'll post some later..

Ya know what? I'm going to go out on a limb and say they can pull of a cool 50-32 record. Hear me out first. They won 45 games last year, and a lot of the games they lost were because of mistakes made by either poor judgement, bad luck or inexperience. They gelled right before last years playoffs, and if they play that way this year then, you can bet that homecourt for the playoffs will be a legit possibility. I think Lamar has gotten loose and is starting to find his place, Kwame, with a new start, has played up to his potential. Also, a healthy Chris Mihm and more developement from Turiaf should help their front court. The addition of Jordan Farmar I think is nice, Sasha's in your face defense is great and hopefully Smush Parker can become a consistant option on offense. So yeah, they should be able to pull off 50 wins next year.

I agree, i mean last year the Lakers lost like 2 games in a row to Utah while Kobe was suspended and the Cavs and NJ game both got screwed up at the end cause Kobe was forced to take ridiculous shots and the Games against the Kings where Lamar screwed up so with a little more maturity and growth this team is capable of 50+ wins!

Last year EASILY could have been 50 wins when you think about it. And with the team one year older, and an upgrade in the offseason. I'm expecting somewhere around 52 or 53 wins this season.

Hopefully a 50 win season can get Kobe recognized as a true MVP. Unless they just give it to Nash again. And I do mean give.

53 wins. With tri experience, that can even go higher. All depends on odom and kwame.

I believe the Lakers will win at least 50 games. We went out and added solid shooters (Radmonovic) (Williams) along with a defensive-minded guard. (Evans) This alone should provide more wins. We will have a more healthy roster this year and more players will develop under the triangle offence (Kwame, Smush, Lamar, etc). Pair all of this with Kobe and you got 50 wins

i hate how everyones just counted us out of the playoffs and a good season next year! i mean we have the best player in the league, the beast coach in the league, and a pretty good supposrting cast now! I mean if you look at what phil did last year, then look at the possibilities for this year! This team is starting to resemble the old bulls teams.Jordan- KobeScottie- LamarKukoc- RadmanovicLongley- Kwame/BynumWe just need to find that killer point guard who could hit open shots like Kerr and Paxon used to do!

:g: just my opinion.......FOR THEM TO REACH THE PLAYOFFS........ODOM - be a consistent second scoring option (avg. 15-20 pts).RADMANOVIC - shoot a high % on 3's and help on defensive rebounds.MIHM/BROWN - must average 15 reb. from the those two.BACKCOURT - must be able to stop penetration.BENCH - luke walton, must have a break out year being the 6th man.I hope it's good enough to make the playoffs, once we're in then it's a diff. story ...........i'll be fine facing any team as long as they avoid colliding with the spurs in the first round.
