what is the benefit for Portland?

Not saying there isn't, I'm just curious as to why you proposed it.

In a 2-2 deal, it's customary for the best two players to not be on the same side.

Just going to use your thread, as opposed to starting a new one. Who would be interested in:
    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bqnessy
Chicago: Rip Hamilton for Elliot Williams (save a big chunk of LT money. With amount of $ they save, I almost feel they should chip in more)
Minnesota: Luke Ridnour for Hamilton and Ronnie Price (get a solid veteran SG, and replace Ridnour with a decent backup PG)
Portland: Eliot Williams and Ronnie Price for Ridnour (get a good backup PG, which I care about more for next season than this one.)
Been looking at ways to eat into our cap space next season, with the thought we end up retaining Hickson, so would be preferable to use up space and have MLE than it would be to use the space and Hickson's hold.

Don't see MIN's motivation. They probably could use SG depth but Hamilton isn't that great of one. They might be better off just playing Rid at SG.

I would in a heart beat but it seems as if Mr. Allen has a hard on for EWill.

I used to be into the Real GM trade checker, and I used to post my theoretical trades on message boards, until I realized that someone telling you about their "trades" is like someone telling you about their dreams, and we all know how fun that is to listen to.

Those are all one year contracts. I don't think you'd be able to get all of them to stay for contract extensions.

This is what I would do. This also gives us a tad bit more in cap space this summer.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bmv4uq7

Shannon Brown is a good combo guard that plays solid D. He's also been on a championship squad; so he has playoff experience. We remove our "Overlapping role players" and give them another big that could play better in a different system.

It is very rare that teams do a 4 for 1 trade. Teams don't like to do this because they have to cut 3 guaranteed contracts.

The great thing is 3 of those contracts are 1 year term; so cutting them doesn't damage the team's cap.
