I'm not fond of them passing on him either. Not sure if drafting him would've had an impact on the trade that garnered the Blazers the #6 pick from the Nets. I'm not sure it would have had an impact, but if for whatever reason the choice was Faried or Lillard, I'd take Lillard. I'd much rather have both though.
Statistically Faried and Hickson are almost identical.... except Hickson is one year older and shoots a better percentage.
We kind of do. Isn't JJ the same kind of hustle player? Obviously there are some differences with Faried being a better defender and JJ being a better shooter. I agree the Blazers made the wrong choice between Faried and Smith, but PG's are harder to find than hustle players. The match up tonight between Hickson and Faried will be interesting tonight.
on the start to his career -“It’s been OK, nothing spectacular, nothing over the top, just solid,’’ Faried said. “I’m more of a humble type, the I-can-get-better-type. I don’t believe in being complacent.’’ yeah, what a egomaniac
Not to say taht they're identical players, but their stats are very similar. So maybe that lessens the sting of not drafting Faried? We got Hickson for nothing
I was talking about this qute, druggie: “I think it’s disrespectful what they did, got my hopes up for nothing. Every time we play them, it’s a little extra motivation for me to come out and show them what they missed.’’
