...from the article, "This agreement ranks among one of the richest rookie exclusive memorabilia contracts in the history of the NBA"

I remember when collecting sports cards was a big deal. Now days it's hard to find sports card shops.

for NBA nobody has a license with the PA except Panini (exclusive), and collectors don't like most of their products (the recently released Prizm being a major exception). Leaf products are welcome among collectors, and sell pretty well even though they can't show NBA team names or logos.

besides NBA Leaf does minor league baseball, HoF baseball, NFL draft picks, MMA, Golf, Poker, and other things. they've found a niche within the hobby and in some ways have a better reputation than some of the major players like Panini and Upper Deck. they are far from shit.

he's by far the hottest rookie and they paid a ton to have an exclusive on his autographs in their products. can't fault them for advertising that.

it's still a relatively big deal. most of the market just moved from shops and shows to ebay.

I still have all my sports cards. I have a 1985 rare Micheal Jordan rookie card made by Nike.
