Since he's just coming back from his injury, Rubio isn't playing in games on back-to-back nights until he gets back into "game shape."

Yeah, and he's only supposed to play 16-18 minutes or so when he does play, right?

Let's not get overzealous talking about how Rubio is under-performing. While the Knicks are testing uncharted waters with assigning Stoudemire to the D-League, the Timberwolves are just taking the traditional approach of easing their star player back into the game.

They should have taken the same approach with Love. His shot hasn't been the same since he came back from the hand injury.

    Monta Ellis: 1-14 FG
    Brandon Jennings: 9-26 FG

A combined 10-40 shooting from Milwaukee's backcourt tonight... that was just painful to watch.

Very painful because I played Monta tonight on my fantasy team! Luckily I also played Paul Pierce and Durant!

Haha, when they were showing Monta's FG numbers, I was thinking "Damn, I'd hate to have that dude on my fantasy team tonight."

As much of a hacker as Monta can be though, I think you have to give a lot of credit to Tony Allen. I want to somehow spearhead a Tony Allen for DPOY campaign. The Grizzlies have played like shit on offense the last three games (Jazz, Bulls, Bucks), but they've gotten three straight wins because their opponents have only averaged 79 ppg against them (on the season, opponents have only been averaging 90 ppg, which is a league best, and they've yet to let an opponent break the 100 mark on them). I think Tony Allen deserves most of that credit.

    LOL @ "star player"

He's played 43 career games and averages 10 points on like 35% shooting. Geesh, Minnesota doesn't have much standards for what they consider a star. No wonder they suck.

The Thunder are garbage. The Wolves are garbage. Nothing to see here. Neither of them are on a 4 game win streak!

True, and the Raptors are on a 5 game win streak,... second hottest team in the league in that respect. The Thunder have nothing on the Raptors!

In all seriousness though, that says a lot about Andrea Bargnani. Without him, the Raptors are 5-2, and with him they're 4-17. Trade discussions are bound to be imminent.

I was listening to "The Basketball Jones" podcast and the two main guys are big raptor fans and they were talking about how everyone tries harder on D when Bargnani is out and when he is in they follow his lethargic examples on D

After seeing Hickson's turnaround, I can't help but think that place is toxic from the ownership down. But Cousins has had run ins with 2 coaches in the NBA and possibly even Calipari while at Kentucky. Dude might be salvageable, but I wouldn't give up too much to get him.

It goes even further back than that. He was even a headcase in high school, originally being a UAB commitment for Mike Davis, but after butting heads with the school's AD over coach Davis, he decomitted and changed his commitment to the University of Memphis (his second of three commitments before winding up at Kentucky).

So now with Bargnani looking more and more like he should be on the block, and Cousins trying to kill another coach,... anyone thinking those players would make sense in an exchange for each other? I haven't given it any more thought than just saying it out loud, but it's interesting to think about none the less.

I honestly think only one team would be able to control him and that would be the Spurs. If he couldn't work on the Spurs he won't be able to work anywhere.
The Raptors would have to give up a lot more then Bargs to get Cousins. Cousins still has Value and Bargs pretty much has negative value at this point.

True. I was just thinking out loud before. That really would make little sense for the Kings, unless they're really feeling like Cousins is holding them hostage.

As far as Cousins goes, what about Boston? They can provide the structure that San Antonio could provide, and they're actually in a position where they need some help. The only question is... who do they give up for Cousins in return? I'm not sure they really have anyone that they'd be willing to move worth Cousins.

How about the Bulls or Lakers?

Who would want Bargnani at this point though? Looking around the league, does anyone have really have anything to gain by giving up an important asset to get Andrea Bargnani? Things don't look good for T-Dot from that standpoint.

You really think they'll make a trade with a rival?
