HCP's beginning-of-4th-quarter mixes tell me otherwise. Not that Max isn't an artist, but that there is an art to the replay (best camera angle, best speed, adjust the FPS just right, etc.). You could call it craft instead, but HCP being able to assemble 1 minute mixes every game tells me he's got an artist's touch. Those are all generally really good.
Post production editing and LIVE TV broadcast editing are a different beast! I used to edit commercials as a post production house and you do have the luxury of time. What he put together is nice, but what I do on live broadcasts is completely different. I'm editing sound bites, editing the opening video you see right as we come on air......highlight match ups ......... during the game along with replays and highlight packages, we are playing back promos and other sponsored elements. Live TV is very fast paced and on the fly, very stressful. Post Production can be as well with a producer standing over your shoulder eyeing every edit, but def a slower pace.
Haha! You remember that huh? In one of his old videos he did straight up use a few of my edits from our broadcast and denied it. He has skills though..... I can't hate.
Funny thing happened tonight....... the JJ Hickson package we ran I had to build so fast, I only had time to look at it once before I rolled it on air. Lucked out and made no mistakes! If any of you guys want, holler at me and you can come down and sit in the TV truck during a game if you want. Puts a whole new perspective on how shit works!
