agreed. I would put Minnesotas chances ahead of Portlands, but it's like saying "which team sucks only slightly less". Ok, let me ask you a serious question here. Not about the team, but about the forum. I think it's safe to say you're a Wolves fan, and not a Blazers fan. I think it's probably safe to say that you, and others, came here during the Batum signing saga, and chose a name that is derisive of the Blazers. Am I wrong? If I am, and you ironically picked the name and are a Blazer fan, I suggest you no longer read what I'm writing (in this post I mean. Although, maybe all together!) Anywho, you can see that some of us are willing to and interested in having serious, well thought out discussions about other teams and players. Sure, we talk shit about each other, and other teams, but truth be told, I'd bet we'd rather have more people here willing to discuss things about other teams. So why not just change your name to represent you're a fan of the Wolves? Also, don't take Kingspeed seriously, none of us do (including himself). It doesn't mean we don't like him, in fact, I think most of us enjoy him because he's so boisterous when it comes to being a fan. Outside of HCP, he's one of the only one of us who has actually been on TV (he was on Bones, if you didn't know. No, seriously, he was on the TV show Bones). In fact, don't take most of us too seriously. None of us do.
I love the "Wolves will win 50 if Love shows up" line. Hahahaha! Since when has Love been a difference maker when it comes to wins and losses?
I still have faith in Rubio. Dude has two all-world skills (getting into passing lanes and dishing the rock). Yes, his shooting sucks, and if he doesn't improve he'll follow Rudy and Sergio back to Spain. But the guy's younger than Lillard, has a bunch of basketball experience and is coming back from an injury. I wouldn't trade Lillard for Rubio. But I think Rubio's going to be a very good player.
love has never "lead" them to even 30 wins. ever. i hope they give him an extension, cant let talent like that slip away!
This makes little sense. He's all of three months younger than Lillard (so really, they are for all intents and purposes the same age), has more NBA experience, has had some injury problems, can't shoot, is following a history of flame-outs from Spain, and I could go on for days. Nash took a long time to reach star level. Other PG's did too. These occurrences don't happen daily. The odds ain't in Rubio's favor.
I know it's childish, but I always get a good laugh when I see somebody call somebody else stupid/retarded/idiotic/etc. and then fuck up THEY'RE grammar.
Draft talk is fun. We get guys hating endlessly on players like Damian Lillard and ceasing to exist on the board as soon as he plays his first game. Highly entertaining. I'd almost say June and July is just as fun posting on this board as the regular season.
