Technically you could make the trade right after the pick is made but basically the same thing as you are saying.
And we are in good position; being under cap. We could essentially trade a pick for a player(s) absorbing the entire salary.
I would trade Aldridge and another player outside of Lillard and Batum to Washington for Okafor and there #1 pick without blinking once.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ctlnukm Aldridge and Babbitt for Evans, Robinson and Fredette. Not a huge fan of it, personally, but don't see them moving Cousins for Aldridge.
to MickZagger's complaint that "LA's PER has plummetted" it took all of a month to get it back up over 20 STOMP
Updated #'s. Aldridge- PER: 20.2 Favors- PER: 18.1 F- DRtg: 102 A- DRtg: 106 F- Reb/36: 10.6 A- Reb/26: 7.6 I think maybe waiting more than less than a month before we throw someone under the bus is kind if important. All of Favors #'s got worse, all of LaMarcus' #'s got better. The biggest downfall of LaMarcus's game is his rebounding. But with Hickson averaging 11 boards a game (and almost 14 per 36), and his DR% being almost 30% (and a TR% higher than anyone on either team), and Nic averaging almost 6 a game, I don't know if Favors would have similar stats). He would be awesome as a backup (which is what he is in Utah).
Lets hope so, The same was said for KP and he couldn't do it. The thing the gets me is KP is still referred to as a gunslinger and I don't see it.I hope Olshley is more like Bob.
No one impeticular, The thing with Hickson is although he is a hustle player and he puts up good numbers he's really not all that on defense and furthermore is not much of a rim protector.
So, who do you want Olshey to go after? In your opinion, which rim protectors are available and would complement our team nicely?
Emeka Okafor? He's at best a bench player now. Demarcus Cousins and Anderson Varejao are under contract next season with their respective teams. So, which players are you trading for them?
Just be psychologically prepared to make a trade, wait for an opportunity, then strike while the iron is hot. Step 1 is the purpose of all this talk.
DeMarcus Cousins! Get him while his value is low. Buy low, sell high! Although I'm recanting my "desire" to also obtain Evans in the trade. (Desire being in quotes because I don't desire him at all and think he's garbage. Might be a good bench player. But with the knee...just steer clear.)
