This guy didn't do much of anything in Atlanta playing SF/SG/PG....Atlanta willingly let him walk...then he plays PF/C for the Suns and he's putting up 13/6/6 a game and turns into one of the most effcient players in the game. He's 6'8" 215 pounds and i'm sure he couldn't get away playing PF/C and many other teams. I just don't think he would have the same success with another team. Opinions?

Well, its all because of the Steve Nash factor. Also, because Boris got more touches and playing time. Stoudemire and K. Thomas were injured in the playoffs so Boris was forced to play PF/C even though he really is a SF.

I think Boris has his stats increased thanks to Nash, but I would want him on the Pistons for his versitality. He's still amazing, and didn't have the proper minutes in Atlanta. He has matured much more in Atlanta.

Of course Nash helps. But he's got talent. He can get the ball to the open man, score in the post, and rebound..He's the got the tools to be an all-star

I think it's because of D'Antoni putting him in the position that he's most comfortable playing and not trying to make him be the next Magic Johnson as a big PG. He isn't a 3-point shooter or an alley-oop dunker so he doesen't get much help from Nash. He takes that mid-range shot and as the season went on he learned how to drive to the basket and dunk and he can post up a bit. His offensive game could use improvement, but he was great for us this year. His passing was spectacular and he rebounded and played defense better than I expected. And yes, that playing time he got with Amare being injured helped him so much. You could just see him learning and getting better every month. And after a slow start in the playoffs he started being more aggresive and ended up with a good postseason. He's a different player right now.I do think he could have success with some other teams as long as they don't force him to play guard. He's best where he is and could probably play small forward somewhere else too.

I do think the PHX offense, the Nash factor, and D'antoni putting him where he's most comfortable all helps. I don't think he's a legit Center, but in that offense it works out well for them.I mean you have to have talent to get to the NBA, and depending on the team he'd be on, he wouldn't have the success he's having. It's not a shot at him, I just think alot of guys look better on the Suns than they actually are, be it Nash, the system, or just the overall number of touches and speed they play at.

I don't think so. The Suns offense helped him out. Hell, the Suns offense would help any player out. But I also think that it is more than the Suns that made him the player he is today. It was not the Suns that made him a great rebounder, passer, and defender. And, he is not the guy waiting behind the 3 point line for Steve Nash to get him the basketball. When I watch him, he creates alot on his own. He hrives in iso situations. He has quickness, and he can get past his defender. Also, he is a good post up man. He gets a fair amount of points from back to the basket moves. So, no, it is not entirely the Suns offense that made Boris thrive. I think more of that is that the Suns gave the guy a chance.

He improved drastically with minutes, thanks to the depth charts. But a little Nash never hurts.

Diaw is the maybe the one of most similar player as Magic. I dont like him but i respect him for his game. He can play any position and plays excellent defense
