true. with love in an injured/down year LMA might make it even if we have a losing record. if so hopefully he isn't shorted minutes this year.
Yea he was snubbed last year but you can see why, his game isn't All-Star flashy. It might be a good thing though if we're flirting with a good seed.
So as if right now the Blazers are behind Kicking our butts in the standings group: 1) Okc .781 2) Clips .765 3) Spurs .750 Unlikely the Blazers will catch them group: 4) Golden St. .688 5) Memphis .667 Within reach: 6) Houston .588 7) Blazers .545 Last playoff spot, just behind us but its virtually a tie: 8) Denver .543 Minnesota is 9th(.500), but with Love and Rubio always injured, and the Fact the Blazers are flat out Better. 10th is Utah an 11th are the Lakers, and I think both are real threats to improve and surpass the Blazers, especially the lakers unfortunately. Next, Dallas just isn't going to make the playoffs, they are a crappy team, and Dirk just doesn't have enough left to rescue them. Sac, Phoenix and the Hornets are very shitty with no real chance to surpass the Blazers. So, 6,7,8, how do you see it playing out? EDIT) if I screwed up on anything, sorry, I'm sick in bed and brain hurts. I spent a half hour trying to make this one post. I'm done posting for night. Bye
I can see the Lakers moving up and Houston down, but where does Denver end up in this scenario? Not making the Playoffs?
Golden State is catchable. They've never been here before. Grizzlies might be catchable too. We could also fall to 12th. There is a LOT of basketball left to be played.
The Grizz are definitely in a slump of all slumps right now. Just as quietly as we were winning earlier, we're just as quietly losing right now. We're 2-4 in our last six, with losses to Houston, Philly, Indiana, and ya'll. The team, in general, has seemed to hit a wall. It's almost like we played at 150 mph for the first quarter of games and then hit cruise control. When we're clicking, I don't see a team in the league that can beat us. We're a match-up nightmare, but we've definitely lost our edge lately. I wish there was something more tangible to point to, but the reality is that the Grizzlies are just getting beat at their own game right now. I just hope that this slump doesn't turn into a free-fall.
Your team isn't off track at all. You are .667 for the season, and .600 in your last 10 games. If you don't count the loss to us because Zach was out, you are 6-3 in the last 10, which is your season average.
I love the enthusiasm, but our schedule gets hard now. We were fortunate to play Memphis and Minnesota without their best players. Perspective
The truth is I personally feel like the blazers brass never thought lillard would emerge so fast. They counted on a draft pick and us being bad. Now their plan has taken a hit and they aren't sure wether they should go for playoffs or hope to start losing. It's risky because the bobcats get pick. Very tricky spot to be in.
The Orlando game is huge. Most teams do not play well the first game back from a East/West coast trip. We usually lose these games regardless of who it is against. But the 4 games after Orlando are brutal. I would hate to see a 5 game losing streak, and if they lose tomorrow, that is a big possibility. I agree we could drop very quickly.
