A tentative agreement has been reached between the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr stood side by side in the early hours of Sunday morning to announce there was a framework in place for a new collective bargaining agreement. Although the deal still requires language clarification, legal fine-tuning and ratification from both sides, a verbal agreement has been reached on the major points. To be honest, I almost thought that the season wasn't going to be. I'm glad they came to an agreement.
^ Apparently some fans got fed up and left. Was watching the news and I heard a few folks say that they are no longer interested in the game, others were overwhelmed with joy. I know I sure was happy to know I get 2 hours of fighting, 1 hour of game, Haha.
