    - Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose joined his teammates for Wednesday's shootaround, marking the first time he's traveled with his team and participated in a workout on the road since tearing his ACL on April 28.

"It's good," said coach Tom Thibodeau before Wednesday's 96-94 win over the Magic. "He's been around the whole time. You guys don't see him as much as everyone else does, the team does, I should say. So I don't think it's that big of a deal. It's the next step in the progression for him. He's getting up to speed with everything offensively, defensively, his teammates.

Rose nears return, according to Forman

Next step -- full contact practices. That sounds close.

    Yum.

Ricky Rubio tore his ACL in March. His return has been pretty bad so far - 4.2 PPG / 2 APG on .238 shooting. He's also struggling with the kind of nagging minor injuries Rose had last season before his injury - quite possibly due to favoring his knee all along (rehab and now playing).

If it were up to me, I'd take a wait and see attitude and see how Rubio holds up (how long it takes him to regain form), and same for Schumpert.

    Ya know?

Yep, for every Adrian Petersen, there's a Ricky Rubio.

Nothing's guaranteed. Still, it sounds good so far.
