The simple fact that he's completely washed up at this point is the main reason I'd stay away. I couldn't give two shits about the neck tats.

IMO there is a reason no one has hired him or Delonte West yet. Risk outweigh the reward for teams. I have no doubt one or both will be on a team at some point this season but no one is banging down the door to get these guys.

You know, HCP, the "S" in "S2" stands for "Sports," not "Snob." Just sayin'.

As for Martin, he's not a hot head, he's a knucklehead.

I may be in the minority...but I would sign Martin and Delonte. They're proven NBA players and the fact that they're unsigned means that they would be on their best behavior should we offer them a contract. It would help our bench A LOT!! But I can see how anyone who values the development of Freeland and Claver would be against these signings

Kenyon Martin is worthless at this stage of his career.

Haven't followed them much. If there's much left in either, it seems like a JR Rider/Dennis Rodman on the Lakers or Rasheed on the Knicks. If it works out it's all good. If it fails, you cut 'em and don't look back.

While Sheed is widely regarded as a great teammate, Rider/Rodman weren't, and those two didn't work out. These guys probably won't either. I can see why a borderline team like Portland isn't excited about experimenting with them, even if all it requires is cutting a bad player and spending a little money.

I don't want Delonte anywhere near Lilliard's mother!

Well, The way I see it is every great team\ potentially great team has got to take a risk or two somewhere down the road. There is no such thing as a perfect team. Almost every great team has had a questionable player or two.

Sheed was such an awesome teammate in Portland that he threw a towel in Sabonis' face on national TV, and was witnessed by multiple people throwing a ball cross court and hitting Rueben Boumtje-Boumtje in the head.

He was also such a great teammate in Portland that he continued to hurt the team with his foolish antics on the courts.

I'm not sure there is a more overrated player in the last 20 years.

Hell, the year Detroit won the Finals, Rasheed had a stellar PER of 15.3 for 25 games in the playoffs. People said Sheed was a great teammate because they didn't want him to punch them or throw things at them.

How is he completely washed up? He played great in the playoffs only 8 months ago. Is he a star? No. But he is a very smart capable backup with NBA Finals experience.

I've been a huge supporter of acquiring Delonte/Kenyon. As it was said, they would be cheap and would be on their best behavior to keep the job. Both Delonte and Kenyon were solid contributors on playoff teams last year.

Speaking of Sheed... Martin is going to sign with the Knicks and be Sheed's teammate.

    4ppg/3rpg in 17 mpg with a 12.9 PER isn't "great".
