Your internet connection is 6mbps down, 1mpbs up. If you upload a picture to S2, for example, it goes at 1/6th as fast as loading the picture in a WWW page. LTE is significantly faster than your WiFi and Internet connection. Looks like 16 down / 3 up Ping time is latency. Your 29ms means .029 seconds after you request to download that picture, it will start downloading.
I know recently I went to the slower internet because we don't really do much here at the house, but look how much slower it is then BeerBoys!
Most of what you do is download. That's why the connections are faster that way. Bobo's connection is about 4x faster than yours. At 6mbit/sec, you can download about 600K bytes/second. An iTunes song might take 10-20 seconds to download. For Bobo, 4x faster than that, or ~5 seconds. You might notice Netflix quality suffer a bit, especially if you're downloading iTunes songs at the same time.
I used to just backup to a hard drive. Then it occurred to me hurricane/fire/theft would destroy all my data. I use mozybackup now, although it really causes my old XP machine to slow down so I disable it when I use it.
I have so many gadjets at my house it could get a little confusing; but I do enjoy my time-capsule. The cool thing about it is having 4 RJ 45's built in. I have it connected directly to my modem and I have 1 computer, directv, xbox and playstation connected. This helps with my gameplay on multiplayer. I use the back-up rarely, but it has all 4 of my family computers back-up to it. Then I have 5 individual cloud accounts that back-up pictures and preferences for each of my family members. All iphones share one cloud account for music; so everything is uploaded and refreshed to avoid double purchasing of shit. Then I got apple tv in 5 rooms (master, living, 3 kids rooms); which have a audio and video receiver in each room. That way everyone can still enjoy the iTune movies purchased or sharing the music. Then I upgraded my cable modem to the 20mb speed. What I know is when all my kids are home and two are gaming, one listing to music and my fiancé surfing the web; there is little to no lag. I love it!
