Didn't see this posted but until tonight Lebron has never lost at rose garden unless I'm missing one but pretty sure he has never lost at RG.
I think he has before...didn't Delonte shag Bron's mom under the RG bleachers after a game a few years back?
It's been a while, but he isn't undefeated: http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200311010POR.html http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200601150POR.html http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200701170POR.html
I asked LeBron to take it easy on us on Twitter, since he always kills us at the RG! So you can thank me for this win, and Wes for holding him to under 20 pts for the first time all season!
His previous 3 losses came in his first 4 years in the league. Prior to last night, LeBron had won 5 in a row in Portland. In those 5 victories, he averaged 38.8 ppg. Last night Wesley Matthews held him to 15 points on 6-16 shooting and held him to just 3 second half points. It also broke Lebron's streak of 54 games in a row (counting playoffs) of scoring at least 20 points. It was also LeBron's lowest point total against the Blazers since his rookie year 10 years ago. Props to Wesley for an amazing defensive performance! And, he hit to two huge 3-pointers that sealed the win. It's a shame that Wes won't even be considered for Player of the Week honors. It will go to someone like James Harden instead, who has a higher scoring average. Too bad most voters won't even consider defense when casting their votes. Wesley's offensive numbers aren't bad (21.0 ppg in two very close wins), but not gaudy enough to turn the heads of most voters. BNM
