Maybe one day Rubio can be as deadly of a shooter as Sergio -- his career numbers:

    41 FG%
    32 3PT%

And we all know too well about Sergio's jumper and his ability to finish at the rim.

umm adrian peterson is a physical specimen, there is no one like him. Not only is he a physical specimen, he has the best work ethic of anyone in sports, and the best trainer right by his side (Eric Sugrman). The doctor who performed his surgery said he had the knee of a baby, as in not worn down.

And people forget, adrian had a very average beginning to the season.

Im not knocking my boy Ricky. Im praising the purple jesus.

i was at that packers/vikings game in the dome. By far the best game i've ever been to. Its great to have an NFL franchise in your city.
    MVP! MVP! MVP!
The dome wouldve exploded if he got the record. Holy lord he was so close.

I was angry that they didn't give him one more run. They had first down at the 11 with 12 seconds left and a timeout left (after using their second one). He deserved a shot at the record.

2 years from now, will anyone care that they went 10-6 and lost in the first round (since we ALL knew they were going to lose in Green Bay)? No--but 20 years from now, AD getting the record would be remembered. And his coach having the balls to let him go for it would have been the stuff of legend.

or leslie will be looked at as the dumbass who ran the ball when they had the game in the bag and it was fumbled and we lose. Every single coach ever wouldve let time go down and kicked the FG. What if he doesnt get it anyway? Then people would be like "Why the hell would you do that? What a stupid coach. Risking their playoff chances!"

Most important thing on a coaches mind
    Keeping their job

You do that by winning and you win by not doing stupid shit

Yeah, go ahead and praise conservatism. That's the kind of thinking that created the prevent defense.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'd rather have a coach who's willing to swing for the fences. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

A coach's job is to win games. He did the right thing. You start playing around with that and kharma will get you.

No one is going to remember AP got second in yards in a season (even though it came the year after the ACL tear). If he broke a record that kind of record, that has been on the books for a long time, the year after that terrible injury . . . well as said, that is stuff they make movies about.

But neither will Ricky Rubio . . . so that isn't much of an accomplishment. :)

2-9 from the field and bricking layups like there's no tomorrow.

    Truly an atrocious scorer.

Speaking of tonight's game against the Clipps, look at Pekovic's stat line. He wasn't even in foul trouble and he put up very modest totals.

It did look like both teams played small-ball but I can't help but get the feeling that he is going to get paid more-so because he is a big than for actually deserving it. Don't get me wrong, he is a pretty good player. Just not a max player.

Edit: This is more appropriate for the Around the NBA thread.

Did he? That could explain it. I know he only played like 25 minutes but I saw that DeAndre Jordan only played about 22 minutes. Did he get hurt too or did they go small-ball to matchup?
