Well when you have the majority of voters voting on race more than actual leadership; then yeah you are correct sir. Maybe the GOP will never get re-elected when people are blindly following like sheep.

You know, there's no silver bullet to solve our problems. The Dems are going to target vulnerable republicans come next election.

Obama not only voted against raising the debt ceiling in 2006, he made a speech against it.

So his pathalogical browbeating of Republicans at this time over the issue is more of the same from Obama.

This reminds me of what so many people use in everyday life. "Talk is cheap, actions speak louder than words". So far, the administration has propelled us further in debt and government spending doubled even war-time Bush administration. It's fucking insane man!

So the black people vote for the black person and the white people vote for the white person? wait, the white people also voted for the black person. Also the Latinos. Did black people vote for the white person? Nope.

So who is voting based on race again?

Like I said, didn't know current facts. Was just going off research we did back in like 2002-2004. I took a lot of poli-sci courses, and had worked on some smaller campaigns. Back then, supposedly, the higher the education level, the more likely you were to be Republican.

Funny thing, is.... I call BS. It should have been reversed, cuz it's the religious hillbillies that voted Bush into office (anyone who voted for Bush was clearly a moron), and I'd say less-educated people voted for Obama.

Oh geez. You're playing dumb again? Or did you forget the demographic split in the 2008 democratic primaries where it was statistically obvious that race played a HUGE role in the black vote.

Did I forget a demographic split which became "statistically obvious" (to news networks, I'm assuming) 4 years ago? Yeah, I had that one written down and then I just plum forgot.

This has less to do with race than it does with culture. How many black republicans do you know?

What are you talking about? The number of black republicans has nothing to do with the voting split in the democratic party primaries in 2008.

    The black people.

Your statement just proved that. White people voted for Obama; proving that they aren't basing their vote solely on color.

Frankly, I don't see race as being the kind of factor people are talking about here. Minorities voted for the Democrat. The Democrat happened to be a minority. They'd have voted for a white guy or a white woman just the same.

Where race probably came into play was in 2008 when people turned out in huge numbers to vote for Obama. But where did they go in 2012? One of the most important questions about the 2012 election is what happened to the electorate - they simply didn't show up to the polls as expected.

In 2012, Obama received 65.9M votes, Romney 60.9M votes, and others about 2.3M votes. That's 124.1M total voters.

    In 2008, 132M people voted.

Looks to me like 8M people stayed home. Hardly a ringing endorsement or a mandate handed to the president.

To put it in perspective, in 2004, 122M people voted. In 2000, 104M people voted. In 1996, 96M people voted. See the pattern? In every election, there is a significant increase in the number of voters. Except for Obama's re-election.

Here we go again. You already played this strawman game and I had to continually remind you of what we were talking about. 2008 democratic party primaries. primaries. primaries. Say that over and over in your head until you realize what we're actually talking about. primaries. primaries. 2008 democratic primaries. primaries. 2008 democratic primaries.

Be careful... Maris said that the administration doesn't have the authority to ban guns.

Let me re-phrase. Maris is against gun control and Obama is administering this control. Maris voted for Obama; therefor he voted for a president that supports gun control. Does that sound better?
