Great defender but like fab said he probably gonna get cut, totally agree prostix, he is as dirty as they come. But in some ways that might be good for the USA team, they might need someone just to be a pain in the ass and get in players heads.

Not to mention he's arguably the best defender in the league...

I didn't know that playing good hard physical defense is dirty...And I'm a Mavs fan, I should have more complaints than anyone about him.

at this point, it looks like the team doesnt have alot of use for him. This is also because they havent come across a 6 6 swing man that has been lighting the USA team up. I guarantee you that he will go on that guy(whoever it may be) when the time comes along. Also, it doesnt hurt to have a great defender and a veteran on the roster that knows how to win. He is obviously the worst player on the team but he isnt expected to score alot or even be involved that much in the offense.

like everyone said d-fencestill i was surprised too. On closed inspection it is a good idea, team usa is always such an offensive juggernaught to throw some d in there is a great idea.

I wonder if 30 years ago Bruce Bowen would be called dirty...I wish the NBA had more players like him, maybe if we did the NBA would have at least one rivalry and more balls.

He is there because the U.S.A. needs a lockdown defender on the team. He is also a guy that wont be begging for shots, but can hit the three. He will likely get cut though. He hasnt impressed me in the games I saw him in, and hasnt even played much.

To lockdown Boris Diaw and Andrei Kirilenko?

Your right in the sense that you say the US hasnt played agaisnt any great players yet, so his skillset hasnt been utalized yet. Once we play agaisnt Andre Kirilenko, Manu Ginobili, hell even Dirk Nowitzki, he will get more playing time. And honestly, what would be the point in cutting a guy that doesnt hurt the team? He will play when he needs to play and that will come later down the road when we start to play tougher competition.
