Yeah, I'd love to get a decent pick out of it. Either that, or honestly I would love to deal him for Reddick.

Smart move going to the agent first.

Agreed. JJ seems to really like it here. I always figured getting him to agree on a trade would be the limiting factor in any moves. A long term deal would certainly entice him, though.

I am pretty sure teams can't negotiate with him. I mean he is under contract with the Blazers. I'm surprised they can even reach out to his agent to be honest. Maybe they got permission?

Getting him to agree on a trade is the only factor in a move. Without it, we can't trade him

Probably. It would behoove the Blazers to allow it.

The article says the teams haven't contacted Olshey.

BTW, you guys see the recent news on Smoove?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8849599/josh-smith-atlanta-hawks-suspended-one-game

Can we absorb his contract with our capspace now? Maybe offer him an extension too? We can give up JJ/Myers/more scrubs and allow ATL to at least get something for him instead of letting him walk this summer. I like him as a starter at PF this year, and moving to SF from next year (while forcing Wessy to the bench, and Nic to SG). His rebounding/shot blocking would allow us some flexibility in the kinds of Cs we pursue this summer.

Smoove has listed his teams he would like to be on, and surprisingly, we did not make the cut

    Memphis
    Houston
    Dallas

Yeah White isn't worth the headache ... the way he's handled his beef with Houston isn't just nuts, but makes me think he'll never be able to cope with being a professional ball player.
