I'm now (finally!) ready to join the smart phone nation! Any suggestions/recommendations on plans/deals out there? Thanks!
DO NOT GET BLACKBERRY! I'm shooting for a Galaxy Note II. Bad-asser than bad-ass. As for carriers, I'm mostly happy with Sprint, I've been with them for years and they're usually very reasonable and pleasant to deal with, both on the phone (almost always little to no accent) and in the Sprint stores.
I have an iPhone from AT&T over on Broadway by Lloyd Center. The only place I can't get a signal...... Manhattan and Denver. I love it. You can get an iPhone 4 there for free.....4S for $99 and a 5 for $199. My man Hunter will take care of you!
Yes, but what about the phone? Kidding aside.... those are the same prices I see pretty much anywhere that sells AT&T.
I have a Samsung GS3 with TMobile. Excellent service everywhere I've been surprisingly. Phone is amazing (Like it better than the iphone 5s that I played with) but a bit brittle. Get a good shock-absorbing case and screen protector, and you're good to go.
Buy the Nexus 4! Oh wait, you CANT. That's the phone I'm waiting on. Hopefully it shows up in the Google Play store soon. $350 for 16gb unlocked and off contract. Can't beat that (except the whole, everyone's been out of stock since the beginning of December thing).
I'm currently with T-Mobile. I'd be looking at around $90 per month for the all-inclusive plan (phone, text, data, email). They're currently offering this deal for the next few days. Not sure. http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/Phones/cell-phone-detail.aspx?cell-phone=Samsung-Galaxy-S-Relay-4G
If you insist on Android, Samsung is coming out with an 8 core CPU based phone that is probably worth the wait. 4 of the cores run at lower speed/power which extends battery life. And several other rumored new features. http://www.theatlanticwire.com/technology/2013/01/new-samsung-galaxy-rumors/61155/ Expected ship date March.
Sounds cool! I'd go iPhone, but haven't seen any deals on one....not that I've checked around all that much.
I write mobile phone software for a living. I have to use both, and I carry an iPhone. I just don't get why people like the Android - it's cheap and the software isn't very good.
http://www.sprint.com/landings/ipho...xact:iphone 5 deals:e:iPhone_5_-_iPhone_Words iPhone 5 for $199 with 4G LTE network on Sprint. Unlimited data. That's a big deal if you want to stream any kind of video.
